ABOUT THE HARLEM JAZZ AND MUSIC FESTIVAL

SAT. AUG. 24TH – SAT., AUG. 31ST

For Eight days and nights, local restaurant and historic sites in West Harlem will be

tapping to the beat with the Harlem Jazz & Music Festival. HARLEM WEEK’s newest

festival will salute iconic names in various genres of music and dance, including jazz,

blues, R&B, Latin, hip hop, salsa, gospel, reggae, and Afro- Cuban.

• New York City & New York State are both excited by the launching of

the week-long Harlem Jazz & Music Festival (HJ & MF), from

Saturday, August 24TH thru Saturday, August 31ST.

• Co-hosted by HARLEM WEEK and West Harlem Development

Corporation and supported by I Love NY (State) & NYC & Company

(City) in concert with the Broadway League, the HJ & MF will be an

annual event.

• It is anticipated that this initiative will grow tremendously over the

upcoming years, & attract thousands of visitors to NY City during the

last week of August, as well as retain the disposable income of New

Yorkers.
